On January 31, 2023, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida denied a landlord’s motion to throw out the claims of a Civil Rights Group client. The Court agreed with the former tenant that her allegations were sufficient under the Fair Housing Act and state law to make out claims of housing harassment. The Court also allowed to proceed claims that the landlord’s wife negligently failed to warn the plaintiff that her husband sexually harassed other women.
